Here it is Once Again

Here it is once again (as you may have realised from the title); tomorrow is, in the  Catholic church, "Fat Tuesday," making the day after Ash Wednesday, making it Lent. And this Lent, for the first time, I've decided to give up all computers. Totally. And utterly. And completely. As you might be able to tell, it won't be easy. But I am determined...kind of. So this will be a test of your powers of Bloggerism. Will all...two of you be able to return to regular commenting on my blog after fifty-odd days? Hester? MeshWeaver? You are the only two of my fourteen ex-followers who survived last Lent. And I promise, after Easter, I will look and comment on all your posts you posted in my absense. See you after Easter!!

How to Play Journey of the Sorceror on Piano

I know I ussaly have short, concise, and descriptive (Julian Smith reference) post titles, but I'm hoping that this blog will appear when one Googles that very phrase (Apologies, Yahoo!).

Let me just begin by saying that "Journey of the Sorcerer" is my favorite theme music of all time, and that goes nicely with the fact that it's the theme (though not originally) of my favorite franchise of all time: The H2G2, or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I believe this is an easy-to-follow link and an easy-to-download .pdf file, but tell me if it's not...

Also, remember that I wrote it out like it was using all the "middle" keys, but it's precisely one octave higher in real life. And I figured it out by myself, so it may not be perfect...but since I've got it permanently stuck in my head, you can be pretty sure I know a thing or two about this theme.

New Stuf!

I am so psyched about the new "speaker" capability in Blender 2.6 alpha 1! It is so awesome, and I cannot tell you how valuable it will be in The H2G2 in LEGO. I will now have to do no sound editing (apart from cutting out the bits where he takes the Lord's name in vain and uses words like-gasp-Belgium!
